Since Bronsa's early days watching Jack LaLanne, she has always been excited about both fitness and nutrition. An avid runner, Bronsa ran her first marathon in 1978 and is still going strong, most recently in the 2007 Bellingham Bay half-marathon. After five years of coaching cross-country and track and field for the Shoreline School District, she felt driven to make a career out of helping others achieve their fitness goals. She recently received an AAS degree in Fitness Training and is both a Certified Personal Trainer (NASM) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA). Bronsa continues to coach both cross country and track and field.
Bronsa believes your body must work efficiently and correctly to reach your fitness potential. She therefore focuses on improving muscle imbalances, flexibility, balance, injury prevention and core strengthening to supplement more traditional strength training workouts. Bronsa also agrees with the most current research indicating that heart rate is not a function of age - everyone has their own maximum heart rate for their entire adult life. The old formula "220 minus your age" is no longer considered an accurate predictor of your heart rate. As a HeartZones Level 1 Trainer, Bronsa can estimate your sub-maximum heart rate so cardiovascular workouts can be tailored to you and your fitness goals.
Wow, nice deltoid! Or is it a bicep?
